Direct Care Workers.Org is an online training curriculum that is designed to empower support and care professionals in ensuring that the people they serve lead meaningful lives within their communities. We are have designed this course to enable Providers to select quality skilled workers for their establishments as well as allow their staff to get state required in-service training's. We saw a need for this service. Many direct care workers are given positions in the health care field of supervision of clients. Yet the basic of direct care start with the foundations. It is imperative to know the population of the clients we serve as well as their medical conditions. Many agencies will hire an applicant with the basics such as CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, HIPPA etc. But the missing element has been, how to understand and have insight on your client's medical and mental needs.
